Takata Race 6 SFI Hans FIA 6 Point Harness - Black

The RACE 6 HANS SFI is the same as the RACE 6 but with 3" to 2" shoulder belts that are compatible with the HANS® device and other head and neck restraints. The lower section of the shoulder belt, including the adjuster, is 3" while the upper section of the shoulder belt, where it passes over the head and neck restraint, is 2" fitting perfectly on the friction surface of your HANS® device. Standard 3" shoulder belts will work with HANS®, but the 2"/3" belts give you a better fit and allow you to optimize the installation angles behind the seat. There is no difference in either the strength or elongation of the 2" webbing compared to the 3" webbing.

 

The SFI 16.1 standard provides for 2" webbing on the upper shoulder belt to be used with a head and neck restraint. You should check with your sanctioning organization to see if they have any rules or regulations that may require 3" shoulder belts.

 

The RACE 6 SFI is the premium harness for your competition vehicle if you require SFI certification or if you prefer 3" lap belts. This 6 point harness is both FIA and SFI 16.1 certified with T-Bar sub-strap, 3" shoulder belts, 3" lap belts and the exclusive TAKATA aluminum multi-point release cam-lock buckle.

 

The lap belts come with pull-down adjusters (pull away from the cam-lock) and Snap-On brackets for mounting to an eyebolt. The sub-straps are mounted with Snap-On brackets as well. The Snap-On brackets on both the lap belt and sub-straps are wrapped in allowing you to properly set the lengths of the belts and/or to change to a Bolt-On configuration by purchasing an additional Bolt-On kit.

 

Shoulder belts come with a 3-bar adjuster for wrap mounting to a rollbar or harnessbar. Snap-On or Bolt-On brackets can be purchased separately if you prefer a snap or bolt mount for the shoulder belts.
